About the Course:
This Level 3 Infant Care Professional course provides a thorough, evidence-based foundation in infant care practice, suitable for those new to working with babies or building on existing experience. It is designed by pregnancy and birth professionals, parenting specialists, and childbirth educators, and accredited through OCN London.
The 16-week course covers four modules: newborn development in the first year of life; essential practical care skills including breastfeeding support, equipment sterilisation, skin and nappy care, and daily routines; sleep physiology and safe sleeping practices; and safeguarding. Each module includes a knowledge check quiz and assignments that must be passed before progressing to the next.
Learners have 12 months from enrolment to attend at least one live Maternity Support Hub session, held monthly for guidance, discussion, and tutor feedback on assignments.
